Ried Sernau König
A very high situated vineyard with South-Southwestern exposition on 500 m above sea level that gets protected by the surrounding forest. The river Drau played a huge role in the soil compilation of that specific spot, feeding it with loads and loads of gravel over the coarse of time. That particular alluvial soil produces wines of deep minerality with notes of juniper, fennel and gooseberry.

Big Bottle Time! The profundity of the sandy light soil type allows very fast growth through the vine roots in low-lying, water-bearing zones. On this terroir, Sauvignon Blanc usually develops vegetal, herbal aromas combined with softer fruit flavours.
