Sand & Schiefer

Unpredictable, just like an unforgettable evening. Intensive aromas in the nose, surprising follow-up on the tongue. Orange flower, clementine, peach, and apple. Light and easy-going reminiscent of clouds.

Out of Stock

This wine grows on seven of our best single vineyards with predominantely sandy („Sand“) and schist/slate („Schiefer“) soil. The grapes were selectively harvested by hand and impressively reflect their southern Styrian origin. Ideal ripeness as well as a fruity and lively body characterize this popular wine.

Enjoy as aperitif wine or with fried chicken (“Backhendl”).

Territory Wine

Every wine-growing region is unique in terms of its location, altitude and geology. Village wines are an expression of this uniqueness. The grape varieties that come into question for these wines are traditionally linked to the place where they grow. They are the basis for expression and character.

Our Standards

More than 15 years ago we started taking the first steps towards organic farming. We are now in the phase to convert to biodynamics. A logical step for us and a beginning without end. Every year we learn something new, observe nature and get closer to it bit by bit. We see our business as a form of modern circular economy in which wine is part of an overall concept. Partnerships with horse and cattle farmers have just as much space here as the use of the company’s own forest for energy production. Wine as a way of life.
