The best comes at the end. Kalk&Kreide Privat Sauvignon Blanc. Our exclusive vintage represents the heart of our winery. The grapes from the finest Sauvignon Blanc vineyards impart a unique terroir mix to the wine. Deeply rooted in mineral-rich chalk soils, it develops a fascinating chalky spiciness. After 6-24 hours of skin contact, this wine matured for 15 months on the lees after its spontaneous fermentation, in old large barrels as well as in stainless steel tanks. As our most important wine and thus our signature wine, it reflects not only the wine itself but also our philosophy, dedication, and our origin. Here, tradition and innovation, attention to detail, and the uniqueness of our vineyards come together.

Territory Wine

Every wine-growing region is unique in terms of its location, altitude and geology. Village wines are an expression of this uniqueness. The grape varieties that come into question for these wines are traditionally linked to the place where they grow. They are the basis for expression and character.

Our Standards

More than 15 years ago we started taking the first steps towards organic farming. We are now in the phase to convert to biodynamics. A logical step for us and a beginning without end. Every year we learn something new, observe nature and get closer to it bit by bit. We see our business as a form of modern circular economy in which wine is part of an overall concept. Partnerships with horse and cattle farmers have just as much space here as the use of the company’s own forest for energy production. Wine as a way of life.
