KRIEWETZ

Morillon

Engaging. Its fragrance is reminiscent of an elegant perfume. Floral and refreshing while at the same time full bodied. Summer flowers, some lime, stone fruit, lemon balm, and unintrusive nuances of smoke. On the palate the wine is light with a vibrant acidity and elegant minerality. Smoothly addicting.

Falstaff

STK Premier Cru

Characterized by mighty limestone marl and cool clay soils, the Kriewetz sub-vineyard is part of the oldest parcel of our Burgundy vineyard Sulz. The late harvested, fully ripe Morillon grapes were traditionally aged spontaneously in small wine-neutral oak barrels and drawn to the bottle unfiltered after 24 months of aging on the fine lees.

Attractive. Smells like an elegant perfume. Floral, fresh and exceedingly deep. Summery flowers, some lime, stone fruit and lemon balm as well as unobtrusive smoky nuances. Light on the palate, with vibrant acidity and fine minerality.

So mild that you can‘t get enough of it.

Ried Sulz

Closed and therefore somewhat warm mountain basin with a South - Southwestern exposition. A play field for our Burgundy grape varieties. Profound, loamy chalk-marl soil, which is called “Opok” in that region. The highest point lays on 490 m above sea level and works best for wines full of finesse which are destined for a long life.

Our Standards

More than 15 years ago we started taking the first steps towards organic farming. We are now in the phase to convert to biodynamics. A logical step for us and a beginning without end. Every year we learn something new, observe nature and get closer to it bit by bit. We see our business as a form of modern circular economy in which wine is part of an overall concept. Partnerships with horse and cattle farmers have just as much space here as the use of the company’s own forest for energy production. Wine as a way of life.
