ZIEREGG Morillon "Grosse STK Lage"

The part of Zieregg planted with Morillon has not only limestone soil but also marl soil formations known for their excellent heat storage capacity and hence ideal for great Burgundy-like wines.

In order to reflect the complexity of this terroir in the wine, a rather long maturation in small wooden barrels is necessary.Intense bouquet of inviting aromas like cacao beans, dried quince, tobacco leaves and elegant spicy notes. Complex flavours and mineral notes in the full-bodied palate.

One of the really big wines. It is ideal to drink from 2017 on.
