Our philosophy is that a great wine should reflect the land of its origin.
Our wines express the unique terroir of our most important single-vineyards. Once the grapes have reached their optimum ripeness, they are picked by hand. Fermentation and maturation usually take place in large or small oak barrels.
We produce perfectly balanced terroir wines of outstanding quality that show great ageing potential.

Ideal conditions for growing Gelber Muskateller.
This territory, right next to our single-vineyard Sernau and near to the beautiful wine village Gamlitz, has limestone-free sand soils. Wines from Steinbach are characterised by complex aroma components and a refreshing acidity.
